Civic is proud to present a screening of Alien Workshop’s ‘Photosynthesis’ – showing Friday June 10th at Northern Monk’s Leeds Refectory.
Originally released in 2000 Alien Workshop’s third video heralded a golden era for the company. Helmed by Joe Castrucci, Photosynthesis showcased a refined version of the Workship’s iconic art direction; introduced and gave career-making video parts to Anthony Van Engelen, Jason Dill, Anthony Pappalardo and Brian Wenning with established team riders Josh Kalis and Fred Gall also taking centre stage. With the introduction of Habitat Skateboards, Photosynthesis is not only a defining moment for Alien Workshop but a timecapsule of Philladelphia’s LOVE Park and New York City at the turn of the millennium.
