Cookridge Street Ledges

Victor Mputu from PÉTANQUE by Joe Allen (2021)

Several ledges spanning the length of a pedestrianised Cookridge Street (bottom of The Headrow). All ledges are tall-ish and intermittently skate stopped (and de-stopped) but there’s enough room to grind and couple have ends you can go off.

Bust: Never but subject to constant skate-stopping.

Etiquette: Easiest on an evening. You can skate here whenever but it’s pretty heavy area for pedestrian footfall as it sits on an intersection of the Headrow, Henry Moore Institute and the route from the train station to Millenium Square.

Restrooms: The Light shopping centre and Trinity Leeds are all two minute walk away.

Shops: Greggs next to the Headrow-side entrance of The Light, Tesco at the top of the Headrow (near Welcome), La Bottega Milanese down the road at Bond Court for a good coffee.
